I dont feel alone anymore. I dont know where I would be without this group. When i feel most alone and misunderstood, knowing these individuals exist and are just a message away keep me sane.

I received my concussion when leaving my work shift taking out the garbage, falling on the ice, taking the entire impact to the back of my head. When I came to and attempted to get up and ‘shake it off’ I knew it was bad...then really bad. I never expected the twists and turns this injury and journey has thrown my way. Had it not been for this group, which I found after someone from pink concussions posted on another TBI support group I was a member of, I would not be where I am today. These women inspired, educated, laughed and cried with me and still do every day. We are warriors in this fight for outstanding medical treatment, understanding, support, and awareness of the complexity of female brain injury. I owe much of my recovery to their support. When I was feeling all alone in my symptoms and there didn't seem to be anyone that understood what I was experiencing I found PINK concussions. I honestly think if I hadn't found them I would have been a lot worse off. I love that there I can say how I feel and express myself and I'm received with grace and without judgment. It is such a diverse group of all races, all backgrounds from all over the world, it is truly amazing.

I joined PINK just over 2 years ago during a very difficult time in my life dealing with a traumatic brain injury. I, like other members, struggled with multiple debilitating symptoms and as a result mental health issues. This support group has been a true life saver for me. One of the most difficult things I had to deal with was isolation and no one understanding what I was going through due to the fact that I looked perfectly fine on the outside. Knowing that all the members understood what I was going through and offering me support when I needed it was a huge help to me. Groups like this are vital in our recovery. I am forever grateful and now that I’m doing well, I am happy to offer support and advice to women who are still struggling.

Pink concussions inc has been a lifeline for me. I have learned so much from their wide range of information from research based articles to peer recommendations. This is all good but the best thing I have discovered is the support and encouragement. There are days when life seems endless, tiring and too painful to endure. That’s when I have found a friend who I know gets me to listen, support and cheer me on. A true God send.

Pink has helped me a lot in my recovery! I appreciate having a safe place to talk about the ups and downs healing from my injury. I like that it is all women. I think Pink does a lot to protect us from being taken advantage of by misinformation and people trying to sell miracle products too! They’re very trustworthy.

I learned about the PINK Concussion on Facebook when I attended a local brain Injury support group meeting. One of the members shared about this group and I soon joined myself. I have since learned about what therapies, etc help others and what medical centers and doctors helped them.

Since learning about new ideas, I look to see what is available near me and persue it if it is available, if not where I can.

I have improved so much since joining here, that I can actually see myself now getting back to work soon.

As I find successes in my life, I have been sharing them here, as well as a way of paying it forward.

Nine years ago today I sustained a concussion as a result of a car accident. Today I celebrate my journey with Pink Concussions and the other strong admirable Pink Women who fight every day for better health, better awareness, better understanding, and continued faith and hope that our brains continue to heal every day and that we find ways to help our brians continue to heal.

This organization is a group of pure, genuine women who either live with a concussion every day or care for someone who does. Instead of being the last place to turn for support, for many of us, it is the first place to turn to others who have lived or are living similar situations with a concussion and to seek their guidance and wisdom of what has helped them progress.

As an EMT for 25 years and Pink Concussionist for 9 years, Pink Concussions is the first place I recommend to new Pink concussionists to go for support from other fellow Pink Warrriors and Sisters. There are not enough words to say about the positive impact that Pink Concussions is having on the research, knowledge, data, empathy, and love that is helping to change the future of concussions and women worldwide.

Eight years ago I was helping my community and saving lives as a volunteer EMT. Within 24 hours of saving a life, I was now fighting for my life after being in a car accident where my car was struck by another spinning vehicle at 60 mph. After being in the hospital for several days, my surgeries and recoveries began. Unfortunately, I did not find this group until approximately 4 years in to my journey with a TBI and PCS (Post Concussion Syndrome). This group has been my turning point in my recovery.

These fellow PINK Concussionists, family members, and other professionals truly understand what it is like living with a TBI and PCS day by day, hour by hour, and minute by minute. We all recognize that everyone's TBI is different, everyone heals differently, and what works for one doesn't work for all. These women and supporters are here to lift up others, encourage others, share what has worked for them and to share their stories. While we are all at different stages and years since our incidents, we are all strong and survivors.

As an EMT, I had to take a stand for myself to get my doctors to listen to the symptoms that were invisible and they couldn't confirm with medical tests. Pink Concussions has been an integral voice for all women of brain injuries, especially concussions in speaking at various training seminars, providing a platform for women with TBI's and PCS to share their stories, and to partner with the military and others to encourage research for women with brain injuries and has partnered to set up an opportunity for each of us to donate our brains to further research of TBI and PCS in hopes that research can provide insight, treatments, and improvements for all future generations.

I proudly wear my Pink Concussions necklace and shirt and utilize every opportunity I have to share about the organization, the resources, the support and encouragement it provides to women like me. Each day, good or bad, I know I have the life line of Pink Concussions if I need them. While most of wish we could go back to our pre- TBI days, I would not trade the encouragement, support, education, and love that is shared by this organization and members to go back to those days.

As you will commonly see many Pink Concussionists say to others..... Stand Strong, You are Not Alone. So we all continue our recovery journey's and stand strong for all the women who will unfortunately experience a concussion in the future.

I travel the state and country providing concussion education. In these travels I am invariably approached by someone with a loved one who has sustained a concussion. Often there is tremendous frustration because they can find no one who can help them. Pink Concussions is one of the first, if not the first, resources I share with them. Although Pink’s focus is primarily the female concussion, they have a broad scope of knowledge and expertise, and they are acutely aware of the differences between the male and female concussion (critical in its’ assessment, and especially its’ treatment). I watched Katherine build this organization from thoughts on a white board to being one most progressive and knowledgeable nationally as well as internationally. Katherine has done an amazing job. She listens, does her research and surrounds herself with the top individuals in the field. I cannot give a higher recommendation.

Pink Concussions is a unique support group. By focusing on the specific issues, challenges and concerns of how brain injury affects women, they are leaders in developing understanding, support, research and appropriate treatment. By creating several sub groups, they are able to serve many women and their caregivers/spouses as well as the greater medical community.

As a member of the community, I have benefitted immensely on a personal level. I have also been afforded the opportunity to share my experiences in a supportive environment and help others along this path.

Pink Concussions is well run and thought out. The leaders show great perseverance in their quest to not only support those injured and increase diagnosis and treatment of those who will unfortunately join us after their injuries.

I held multiple fundraisers through March, April, and May of 2019 to benefit Pink Concussions and then spoke on the Pink Panel for Pink Concussions at Harvard Medical School in May of 2019. Pink Concussions is a wonderful community with people willing to help each other and bounce ideas off of one another to help with each other’s concussions. I have loved getting involved with Pink concussions.

23 years after i was diagnosed with pcs (due to domestic violence) all of my symptoms took a massive turn for the worse (which i didnt even think was possible!!) This was a little over a year ago. In THAT amount of time ive had every test known to man!!! Been to 4 different neurologists....countless eye drs...(now have constant double vision in both eyes) and the list goes on. I have a very SUPPORTIVE husband, but he doesnt UNDERSTAND. I was SOOOOOOOOOOOOO frustrated being bounced around from dr to dr with no answers. I guess i just wanted to know i wasnt the only one on the planet going through this. I came across PINK CONCUSSIONS....and my whole world has come to light!!! THIS GROUP IS AMAZING!!!!!! i have shared triumphs and failures alike and there is always someone who can TRULY RELATE!! I have even suggested PINK CONCUSSIONS to two other women i know with pcs.. one being my DAUGHTER.. she has also found it EXTREMEMLY HELPFUL AND FRIENDLY.....THANK YOU PINK CONCUSSIONS.. ...EACH AND EVERY ONE OF YOU!!!!!

Pink concussion has been immensely helpful. It has given me a sense of community of other women that are going through similar medical issues. It gives us a safe place to talk about everything related to pcs and tbi. I was fortunate enough to be able to meet the founder at a concussion summit where she organized a meet up for the women of the group to met in person. It was nice to forge new friendships with other women in the area dealing with the same thing.

I joined Pink Concussions due to my fiance's battle with CTE. The primary focus on CTE has been on men, with very little about the CTE epidemic facing women. This site has given my fiance' and I hope. The caregiver group truly has been comforting and strength building and look forward to getting much more involved with this organization.

My oldest daughter has had 4 concussions 2 from sports, 1 a freak accident and a severe equestrian accident. My youngest daughter has had 3 sports concussions and 1 from a car accident. We were told about this group from another mom/school SPED. I find it very helpful to talk to others that are going through the same things. We share worries, treatment info and just vent. Thank you for everyone being there for each other.

To have this steadiness is so unbelievably worth it. So much dedication from the owner ~ and th gals apart of this group - we are bound.

PINK Concussions has help me understand and taught me how to advocate for my daughter in the school system and with Doctors. So many symptoms of PCS overlap other illnesses. It was hard to get the right diagnosis but PINK really helped pull it all together. My daughter was able to heal because of the compassion and advice she was given. We are forever grateful for all the insight, validation and friendships formed. It has been six years since we were first introduced to PINK , the mentorship and up to date information is immensely helpful. We could not have navigated the healing process without this group! AMAZING

I am going to keep this short as I know there will be so many reviews soon and I want you to be able to read them all as they each one is so important to how this amazing group has helped each of us.

I am a domestic abuse survivor. I have been beaten, held under water, smothered with pillows, and strangled; amongst other things. I never knew these things could lead so many years down the road (28 as of today) to all of the issues I have. About 15 years ago I started to have cognitive issues that have progressively gotten worse over time. I have also had increased migraine headaches and developed a studder when I am tired or stressed.
I read an article on a local researcher and saw that I had all of the same symptoms and it dawned on me that I may have a TBI! I reached out and she reached back. She connected me to Pink Concussions. I have found a sisterhood of women who experience things like me, no matter how they received their injuries. I was asked to come to a symposium to speak as the voice of domestic violence related to TBI. I gladly accepted and have been doing it ever since. It has been such a healing thing for me. Not only the symposiums where I speak about what happened and how it has effected me but also the bonds I have made with the women in the group. We all support each other in this wonderful womens group. Having a bad day? 100 women will send you words of encouragement. Had a new treatment? 100 women might ask you questions to see if they should ask their doctors if it might be right for them. Make a joke and tell a funny or post a funny meme?! 100 likes and 100 lol’s. Have a new symptom? 100 prayers are instantly sent out for you. Yup, this is an AMAZING group of women and I was totally blessed the day I was introduced to it. I love my Pink Concussion Sisters!!

I'm a military veteran who suffered a parachute accident in 2006. I didn't find out I had brain damage until 2011. I felt all alone with no help, and then I was told about this organization through one of my doctors as a support network. I got in touch with this organization and I've had the biggest support network I could ever imagine. The people in this network truly care about you and we all talk about the same struggles we indure giving us different strategies to help cope with them!!! I love these ladies!!

This group is amazing. I was absolutely lost after my concussion. My family doctor provided little to no info on my condition. This group is a lifeline to women looking for answers, help, and a community who understands what they are going through. I am sure it has aided many of us in our recovery.

After a suffering the consequences of a concussion all alone for 18 months, I finally found Pink Concussion. A group of women who are going through the same thing. Everyone is respectful and supportive. It is amazing to find that I am not alone! I am so very thankful I found this group! The Facebook support group is wonderful but there are many resources available on the web site too.
