Causes: Education, Two-Year Colleges
Mission: The piedmont community college foundation fosters relationships and provides funds to support students, faculty, and staff at pcc as they achieve their education and career goals.
Programs: Scholarships: over 100 scholarships are awarded each year to deserving students. The pcc foundation currently houses 57 scholarship endowments and a number of annual scholarships.
special allocations: building projects, such as the most recent facility constructed on the person county campus, the technical education building, receive funding through the pcc foundation. Renovation projects, including new carpeting in the workforce training center in roxboro to enhance the atmosphere of learning, may be funded through the pcc foundation. Friends of the college events are held in an effort to promote the college throughout the community. Institutional projects that can no longer be funded through the state are given consideration from the pcc foundation.
faculty and staff excellence programs: the pcc foundation rewards faculty members who go above and beyond in their program of study. A peer-based committee reviews the submitted portfolios and makes award recommendations. Up to two staff members are selected from a pool of nominations to receive the staff excellence award each year. The recipients of this award demonstrate a high level of commitment to the institution and the community.
