Mission: Our mission is to advocate through the court system for the best interests of children identified as being abused and neglected. We strive to insure a safe, secure, and nurturing home for each child. We are committed to quality service of the CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate) program to ensure quality volunteerism.
Results: CASA began in Phelps County in 1997 and later expanded into Harlan County in 2007. Phelps/Harlan County CASA served 100% of the abused and neglected child victims referred to us from 7/1/2017-6/30/2022. All child victims were assigned a CASA Volunteer with 24-hours of being referred to Phelps/Harlan County CASA.
