As a board member of Pathways to Wellness since April 2012, I have seen and appreciate the commitment, passion and professionalism of the staff. The acupuncture and Chinese herbal services Pathways clinicians provide are highly respected in the greater Boston community. The organization is dedicated to expanding access to those from diverse communities, regardless of a client's ability to pay. The staff and volunteers passion for the organization's mission is inspiring and makes me proud to be a part of this organization and movement.

As a clinician who deals on a daily basis with trauma-related psychopathology for the most part in an aging population with multiple physical ailments as well I have referred many of my clients for a variety of ailments both psychological and physical. I have also availed myself of Pathways' services over the last 3+ years. I have benefitted greatly from the treatment I've received and get consistently positive feedback from my clients as to the efficacy of the acupuncture they have received. I find my chronic back pain is less and that I'm better able to focus @ work. My mood is improved and positive and I'm better able to accomplish tasks and stay focused.

I've been a client of the AIDS Care Project at Pathways to Wellness since 1998. I considered acupuncture as my last resort to deal with medication induced neuropathy of the legs and hands. I had to use a cane to couch the pain and had difficulty with manual fine motor activities. Within the first year of weekly therapy I dropped the cane and my hands dexterity improved to the extent that today I don’t have neuropathy of my hands and it has been relegated to the tip of my toes. I soon learned that acupuncture was also effective to deal with the many side effects of my HIV medications. My blood sugar is well controlled. I have no digestive or sleeping issues, and the liver is detoxified and cuddled to do its job well. I also enjoy the excellent interpersonal skills of the practitioners and the staff is warm and welcoming. I continue to receive these benefits free of charge and tried to support the agency through some volunteer work. To me is a lifeline that I will keep for as long as I'm able. Thank you Pathways!

Both the acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine I've received at Pathways have had a major positive effect on my health. The acupuncture and Chinese herbs have kept my fibromyalgia symptoms from becoming acute (I don't take any medicine for pain or sleep issues), and my personalized prescription for Chinese herbal medicine have kept my post-menopausal symptoms at bay as well - all with no side effects.

Pathways does really amazing work. They serve the LGBT community very well. They place special emphasis on those with HIV/AIDS. Also, the LGBT community is well-represented on their board . I don't just believe in Pathways enough to write a review. Rather, I believe enough to donate my money to help the organization.
