Fall into these major categories: opharmacological management (pms) - psychiatrists and nurses help persons to function at their highest levels through the use of medication and medical support. - mental health assessment (intake - da) - intake specialists conduct assessments to assist in making referrals and in enrolling persons in appropriate services. - crisis intervention mental health services (community based stabilization - cbs) - crisis specialists provide immediate assistance to anyone in the community experiencing a mental health crisis. - behavioral health hotline services (lake county crisis hotline - hl) - trained crisis responders answer the telephone 24 hours a day, 365 days a year to provide assistance in accessing services or just to help ease a person's reaction to a crisis. - community psychiatric supportive treatment (cpst) - case managers provide support and assistance to persons with a severe mental illness so that they can remain living independently in the community. These services can be provided on an individual basis or in a group setting. - counseling services - counselors help persons discover underlying issues that negatively impact their mental illness functioning, learn coping strategies and change their way of thinking about themselves. - residential care (north coast house - nch) - pathways, inc. Has a 14-bed transitional group home, staffed 24 hours a day, to provide temporary housing and support services so that a person can return to their own independent housing.
