Mission: The mission is to assist public health and other social sector professionals and organizations to improve access and quality of services in ways that respect human rights and promote health and development, and to further scientific understanding that will benefit policies and programs.
Programs: During 2016/2017 the organization provided technical support to projects in several countries including kenya, senegal, uganda, india, niger, nigeria and pakistan as well as the united states of america. This included the application of internally developed guidance tools, facilitation of workshops and meetings with local public health and education professionals. Funding from the gates foundation supported the successful rollout of the challenge initiative in four countries, nigeria, india, kenya, and senegal as well as the expansion of this initiative to other countries/states in that region. With the usaid-funded subaward from pathfinder international we continued to provide technical assistance across the global evidence to action for strengtheded reproductive health (e2a) project, with special focus on task shifting in cross river state in nigeria and preparing manuscripts for scientific journals. Lastly, with macarthur foundation support, worked with colleagues in the education sector, in nigeria and globally, to bring awareness to expandnet tools and approaches to support systematic scale up.
