Mission: The parks & people foundation is dedicated to supporting a wide range of recreational and educational opportunities; creating and sustaining beautiful and lively parks; and promoting a healthy natural environment for baltimore.
Programs: The foundation helps communities to improve the physical, social and environmental quality of their neighborhoods through improvement of and providing access to green spaces.
the foundation designs and operates a six-week academic enrichment program designed to help elementary school-aged students in baltimore city improve or maintain their scholastic skills during the summer months
the foundation offers an innovative year-round paid internship and summer jobs program for baltimore city high school youth, working with students to transition from high school into living wage green careers.
the foundation offers a middle school sports program with a tri-part focus on physical literacy, character development and environmental education. The foundation also offers a grants program which helps communities transform vacant lots and unused space into community gardens, play spaces, outdoor classrooms and gathering spaces.
