Nonprofit Overview
Causes: Health, Nerve, Muscle & Bone Diseases
Mission: The parkinson council is the premier local organization dedicated to improving the quality of life for people with parkinson's, their care partners, and families. We invest in research, education and programs provided by world-renowned institutions and innovative service organizations in the greater philadelphia area. We strengthen our role in the parkinson's community by increasing the number of lives we touch every year.
Programs: As noted in part iii, item 1 above, the council's mission is to raise funds to provide financial support and grants to locally based not-for-profit organizations dedicated in whole or in part to the various aspects of improving the quality of life for people with parkinson's. The council does not directly provide services to people with parkinson's. Please refer to schedule i for the organizations which received grants from the council in 2014 and the purpose of such grants.
