Mission: Enriching lives in the Pacific Northwest, considered a national treasure and acclaimed worldwide, PNB epitomizes excellence in the performing arts. Our mission is to set new standards for artistic excellence, innovation and creativity; attract the most talented dancers, choreographers, musicians, collaborative artists, staff and volunteers; educate and develop dance artists as well as enthusiasts; captivate a devoted, supportive, continually growing, and diverse audience; and strengthen our financial and organizational foundation.
Direct beneficiaries per year: Each year, PNB reaches over 21,000 community members, including students, teachers, and families through in-school programming, visits to PNB studios, specially-priced student matinees, and community partnerships.

Programs: The Company of nearly fifty dancers presents more than 100 performances each year of full-length and mixed repertory ballets at Marion Oliver McCaw Hall in Seattle and on tour. The Company has toured to Europe, Australia, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Canada, and throughout the United States, with celebrated appearances at Jacob’s Pillow and in New York City and Washington, DC.
Pacific Northwest Ballet School is recognized as one of the top three ballet training institutions in the United States. Under the direction of Peter Boal, the School offers a complete, professional curriculum to more than 1,000 students.
The School offers full and partial tuition scholarships to students who demonstrate artistic potential and financial need.
Pacific Northwest Ballet's DanceChance program offers students in Seattle Public School partner schools the opportunity to study classical ballet free of charge, dependent only on the students’ potential and interest in the program. Students are provided with full scholarship classes twice a week, dance attire, transportation and complimentary tickets to PNB Company performances.
With locations in Seattle and Bellevue, Washington, the School maintains a faculty of over 20 instructors, each with extensive performing backgrounds, and professional piano accompanists.
PNB’s Community Education programs seek to engage the community through programs and partnerships that provide access and equity. PNB views dance as a fundamental part of education and life.
