Outreach To The World Inc

Programs: During 2017 owi acheived the following:trip to kenya:the team of 17 worked on the following programs:1) orphans annual birthday party: shopped for school supplies and toiletries. Filled and distributed the new backpacks. Organized a day of crafts. Celebrated with the kids and guardians. 2) orphans and guardians annual medical check-ups were held. Recorded heights and weights, packed medicines in dosage envelopes. Provided meals to over 200 people. 3) annual orphan portraits were taken to be sent to the sponsors in the christmas mailing. 4) another mobile clinic was held at deliverance church. Packed medicines in dosage envelopes. Recorded heights and weights and took bp measurements. 5) a literacy class was taught about spelling of names and for simple words for illiterate guardians. 6) womens conference was held to encourage, unite and support our kenyan sisters in the light of what god has done in our lives and within owi. Shared testimonies and encouraging messages. The main speaker was pastor gladys nelima. Provided meals to about 200 attendees. 7) pastors and owi-kenya board meeting was held to support unity and cooperation. 8) pastors were given donated ties as a token of appreciation. Property development:water well (wash)a deep well was successfully drilled adjacent to the office. Ample water supply was discovered prompting plans for necessary utilization of it including potential bottling and irrigation. A water tower will be constructed in january / february 2018. Toilet block (wash)a toilet block was built close to the event center with mens and women sections, hand washing stations and including western toilets. Hedgeour mission team planted a hedge around the property. This hedge will grow thick providing an impenetrable fence around the compound. Treesadditional indigenous trees were planted by team members to provide shade and to draw water from moisture-rich areas.
