Causes: Health
Mission: To advance the public's understanding of ovarian cancer as we assist and empower women in their fight against the disease.
Target demographics: empower women to be the best advocates for their own healthcare, particularly with regard to ovarian cancer detection and treatment.
Direct beneficiaries per year: Nearly 100 women in Charlotte, Winston Salem and nearby cities through our Totes for Treatment Program
Geographic areas served: Charlotte, NC and several surrounding cities
Programs: Totes for Treatment - donated canvas totes filled with resources to assist women undergoing chemo/radiation therapy to manage the physical and emotional side effects of treatment. We hope to soon launch a program whereby we provide free housecleaning services to women undergoing chemo/radiation therapy, and/or recovering from surgery.
