Osborn School District Educational Foundation encourages innovation, promotes healthy campuses and supports creative experiences in and out of the Osborn School District classroom. The goal of the Osborn School District Educational Foundation is to provide support and funding to supplement traditional funding sources to insure that all Osborn students have a comprehensive educational experience regardless of their socieoconomic status. We provide mini-grants to teachers and others to support innovations in learning, support after school sports programs and support literacy and the arts through Kids Read and other programs. OEF has no paid staff or overhead. The activities of OEF are provided by volunteers.

Causes: Education, Elementary & Secondary Schools, Literacy
Mission: Solicit gifts of funds, equipment and services to be used to support and enhance educational activities which can not be funded from general revenues for the nearly 4,000 students within the osborn school district.
Programs: Kids read: purchases books and provides reading programs for 2nd and 3rd grade students. Available at solano, longview and encanto schools.
after school sports: promote student health & vitality through intermural activities for at-risk students district-wide
clarendon/encanto/longview/solano/osborn middle school: school programs that focus on at-risk children and involves them with expanded learning opportunities that support increased academic achievement and reduce at- risk behavior through increased attachment to school and community / provide crisis intervention for students impacted by violence,death or parental incarceration
general fund programs: provide mini-grants to instructors at various district schools for projects approved by board of directors; nutrition services district-wide to promote student health
