Mission: The obc charitable institute shares and supports the mission of the oregon business council: to contribute to oregon's quality of life and economic prosperity. The obc charitable institute receives grants from business and private foundations and from individual donors to conduct public policy projects focused on such issues as redesigning public k-12 and higher education, improving health and health care, upgrading transportation infrastructure, supporting economic development, reforming the state fiscal system, and reducing poverty.
Programs: Oregon healthiest state - an initiative focused on engaging and inspiring oregon leaders in communities, institutions, and businesses across oregon to work with their communities and one another to create and sustain policies, systems, and environments to support healthy lifestyles.
oregon learns - an initiative focused on supporting policy makers and education officials in their efforts to transform oregon's education system and dramatically improve learning, close the equity gap, and raise degree attainment among oregon students.
