Programs: See schedule o. Opportunities center inc. (dba "servicesource" or "servicesource delaware regional office") is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit corporation based in wilmington, delaware. Established in 1957, the servicesource delaware regional office offers a wide range of services designed to assist individuals with disabilities gain or regain the skills and confidence they need to launch or resume a career. The delaware regional office is headquartered in wilmington, delaware and has additional program sites in dover, delaware and at fort indiantown gap, pennsylvania. In fy 2014, the servicesource delaware regional office served 496 individuals with disabilities, 159 of whom were directly employed by the organization. Sixty-two individuals received job placement services to obtain jobs with community employers. Programs and servicesaffirmative employment operationsthe servicesource delaware regional office provides supported and affirmative employment to individuals with disabilities through contracts with government and commercial businesses. The organization directly employed more than 150 individuals with disabilities in fy 2014 at contract sites in delaware and pennsylvania. Services provided included food services, custodial, contract closeout operations and secure document destruction. In fy 2014 servicesource implemented a new delarf state use contract to provide temporary staffing services. This new line of business provided 46 employment opportunities for individuals with disabilities. Other rehabilitation and employment servicesthe servicesource delaware regional office's employment services division provides extensive rehabilitation, job training and support services to individuals with disabilities, with specialized programs for youth with disabilities and individuals with autism spectrum disorders. Services include community-based situational assessments, business technology training, material handling and forklift certification, information processing and customer service training, supported employment, job coaching, vocational evaluation and long-term job support services. Youth transition servicesthe servicesource delaware regional office provides specialized youth transition services through the frameworks to success program, funded by brandywine school district and new castle county vocational technical school district. In fy 2014 the program served 27 students, who collectively participated in over 500 community based work experiences at 36 different business sites. Eight students graduated and six obtained employed after they completed the program. Veterans outreachthe servicesource delaware regional office served 45 veterans in fy 2014, including more than 20 veterans who were directly employed by the organization and 12 who were placed with community employers. The "heroes to hospitality" program was a new community initiative implemented in partnership with embassy suites newark wilmington/south to assist veterans transitioning from military to civilian life and seeking employment in the hospitality industry. Seven veterans completed the program in fy 2014, with five securing employment. The servicesource delaware regional office also partnered with the wilmington veterans medical center (va) to provide case management along with other employment related services such as career guidance, training and job placement for veterans with disabilities interested in exploring careers in the healthcare industry. The program, which is funded through a grant from the jessie ball dupont fund, served 11 veterans in fy 2014. Nine veterans obtained employment upon completion of the program.
