Programs: Annual performances: performances of 1700s and 1800s music in various locations in the washington, dc metro area and in new york city. Performances included menu: plaisirs, gaveaux's leonore, ou l'amour conjugal, and les sauvages from rameau's les indes galantes. Performances took place in dc at embassy of france and, lisner auditorium at the george washington university. In new york city, opera lafayette performance at florence gould hall, french institute alliance francaise, gerald w. Lynch theater, john jay college; and the grace rainey rogers auditorium, the metropolitan museum of art.
young artists program: young artist program supports the development of the next generation of artists. The selected artists work on enhancing the skills with 17th- and 18th- century operas, particularly the french repertoire. The artists receive coaching and performance opportunities.
community engagement: community programming introduces youth and families, university students, and adults to 17th and 18th century music. During fy17, opera lafayette presented performances and at such dc organizations as arts club of washington, woodrow wilson high school, tenley-friendship library, and stanford in washington; and at such nyc organizations as the knickerbocker club and the metropolitan museum of art.
