Mission: Onslow community outreach, inc. Seeks to provide for the basic human care needs of the less fortunate citizens of onslow county, north carolina. Its vision is to be the personification of benevolence in the onslow community.
Programs: Onslow community outreach, inc. (oco) operates a soup kitchen, a homeless shelter and a free clinic. In addition, it brings the local community together for an annual "oktoberfest" event. As a result of these programs:* more than 96,000 meals were served* the free clinic provided medical assistance for over 3,900 patient visits* the shelter saved 300 persons from living outdoors* over 12,000 patrons attended the onslow oktoberfest. * christmas cheer assisted more than 4,600 individuals.
