Programs: Policy & research: community education events continued. We are working with partners including northwest immigrant rights project, asian counseling and referral service and the city of seattle to plan for a broad, partnership approach to administrative relief implementation. Another important area of focus continues to be the response to hateful rhetoric in the media. In addition, in response to the recent wave of ice raids targeting immigrant families nationwide, we contined to hold know your rights trainings, as well as additional events and trainings to support immigrants and refugees in pushing back against ices policies and practices that tear apart immigrant families.
english innovations: oneamerica continued the expansion of our english innovations program a nationally recognized blended esl and digital literacy curriculum in partnership with the national partnership for new americans, the learning games network and literacyworks international in six states across the country.
state and local organizing: oneamericas core strategy continued to center around base-building, community organizing, and leadership development work with immigrants and refugees across washington state. The regions with the strongest organizing were central washington, southwest washington, and western washington. In the south king county region near seattle, immigrant business owners, youth and parents all played key roles in oneamericas accomplishments.
