Mission: To coordinate informed, effective and innovative giving that inspires positive change within our communitites.
Programs: OCF provides all traditional community foundation services excluding a pooled income fund. An active Web site (www.omahacf.org) links interested parties, donors, and professional advisors to resources available to assist them in their personal charity or that of their clients. Lively Omaha, the Omaha Community Foundation's most recent initiative, focuses on how to use public spaces to bring community together in efficient, effective, and lively spaces. In addition, OCF administers The Omaha Award, an annual 1 million dollar competitive grant initiative of the Suzanne and Walter Scott Supporting Foundation. Currently OCF is working to implement a plan to better help potential grantmakers make wise decisions when funding Omaha's future needs.
