Nonprofit Overview
Causes: Education, Parent & Teacher Groups
Mission: The ovpta provides financial and volunteer support while building community so our students are challenged to reach their full intellectual, social, emotional and physical potential and to develop as thoughtful citizens.
Programs: During the year ended june 30, 2017, we accomplished the following with our 139 members:1. Provided 37 after school programs. 2. Produced the seussical, jr. Drama production. 3. Produced the annual yearbook. 4. Provided art enrichment including an evening arts night, smart fridays for all grades, field trips and school events associated with the artswa grant, an art docent program and a choir director. 5. Provided twelve mini grants and a greater financial grant to the elementary school. 6. Coordinated the annual field day. 7. Provided mini grants to teachers for supplies and equipment. 8. Held many social events to bring our community together (including the fall carnival, the ice cream social, movie nights, hootenanny (student talent night) and the multi-cultural potluck).
