Mission: The older dominion partnership, inc. Is a virginia nonprofit corporation established october 1, 2008. It was organized and is operated exclusively for charitable, scientific, and education purposes, including the purpose of making distributions to organizations described in internal revenue code section 501(c)(3). Without limiting or expanding the foregoing, the primary purposes of the corporation shall be to (1) build awareness of virginia's coming age wave associated with the doubling of virginia's population age 65 or older by the year 2030; (2) help facilitate creating and advancing community-driven strategies to accelerate virginia's age wave preparedness; (3) document and report on progress in preparing for the age wave; (4) assess economic advantages of an aging population for the community; and (5) formulate a comprehensive, long-term strategy to help virginia prepare and take advantage of the coming age wave.
Programs: The older dominion partnership, inc. Continued to support and advance awareness of community-based age wave planning by: partnering with community organizations to provide public service announcements regarding age wave planning, meeting with various community leaders across the state of virginia to assist in age wave plannning, and serving as a resource for the public for information on age wave planning.
