Mission: The old slater mill association preserves and stewards the slater mill national historic landmark for the benefit of all. Recognized internationally as the birthplace of the american industrial revolution, the museum celebrates innovation and the entrepreneurial spirit by engaging audiences in relevant cultural, historic, and artistic endeavors.
Programs: Museum tours and interpretation of the birthplace of the american industrial revolution for over 25,000 annual visitors; elementary classroom education on aricultural fiber production in 26 regional school districts; fiber art programs and classes serving more than 1000 students and participants annually
