Mission: To protect, preserve and educate local youths of the history of the douglas county courthouse and local history.
Programs: The organization maintains the former main courtroom in the building as a richly appointed meeting room for groups as large as 300 persons. This room is also used as an art gallery for display by local students and artists.
the organization has established 2 history museums within the building. The first is called "the history museum and the second is called the "mid-twentieth century historical museum".
the organization has partnered with the junior league of douglas county to select artifacts to be displayed in local schools to educate students about their local history
