Oklahoma Interviewing Services fills a need in rural Oklahoma in providing a child-friendly place for forensic interviews of victims of child abuse and other violent crimes. OIS helps reduce the stress of the victims and their families by driving to them in the mobile unit. OIS has partnered with many law enforcement agencies and DHS to provide their services in areas that can not easily access a child advocacy center. OIS provides expert interviewing and training all over the state of Oklahoma. OIS is on the frontline of supporting and helping victims!
An amazing team of ladies who have a passion for kids and their mental well being! With immense training, they interview children who are in need of a professional, caring interview. The right questions can divulge information that law enforcement, the court system and DHS need to assist and protect the child. This highly experienced team does such a thorough job that they are trainers for other care centers, to include training for law enforcement so the officer learns how to protect the child's rights and still get the information he needs.
To ensure this team continues it's impactful role in rural Oklahoma, please donate! Donations can also include office supplies, snacks for the kids, and so much more that can be found in their wishlist located on their website https://okinterviewingservices.com
OIS provides a desperately needed service for the children of our state. They work hard and with compassion to help young victims of crime work through the complicated criminal justice system. I am so glad to know there are caring souls in this world working towards the good of children.
I do a lot of research before I donate or get involved in a charity/nonprofit!
Oklahoma Interviewing Services (OIS) is special to me because they care about the continuing welfare of abused and neglected children. They provide a safe, caring environment where children can feel comfortable to explain their trauma and issues. They also provide family counseling to teach family members what they can do to assist the child.
This is a statewide program in Oklahoma, Law Enforcement and other children agencies depend on OIS to conduct Forensic Interviews that can be used in court.
