Programs: Medical services: patient care provided included 8,043 inpatient days of care to 2,779 acute patients; 25,838 emergency room visits; 3,388 inpatient and outpatient surgeries; and 691 births. Procedures and tests perfomed included 893,368 lab tests; 25,522 x-rays; 3,316 mammographies; 2,638 ultrasounds; 810 nuclear medicine scans; 9,307 ct scans; 208 cardiovascular catheterizations; 15,309 physical therapy modalities; 25,746 cardiopulmonary procedures; 2,807 mris; and 10,476 ekgs. The hospital will offer and provide free or discounted care to any patient who meets the eligibility requirements for free or discounted care under the ocap or hcap financial assistance policies. Charges foregone for charity amounted to $13,054,064.
medical education: the hospital is a teaching hospital that provides medical training to 22 interns and residents in the specialty areas of family medicine, dermatology, and ob/gyn.
