Mission: To be an organization devoted to educating and developing student athletes who want to play competitive fast pitch softball at high school and college levels.
Programs: The ohio hawks fastpitch softball assn. Was able to provide training and playing opportunities for over 220 girls, ages 9 to 18, with an opportunity to play and participate in travel softball games throughout the midwest. We fielded 16 teams that trained, practiced and played in 2016-17. Over 200 of our 16u to 18u players were able to play in front of college coaches, 24 girls have received scholarship offers to play collegiate softball. 120 girls have received college scholarships in the past four years. Part of our program is a provision that makes players accountable to their coaches for their school grades and behavior. We encourage and help them understand that academics are more important than sports and that high academic requirements must be met to play college softball. We were able to provide this service at a reasonable cost to our parents by utilizing our tax-exempt status to receive donations and sponsorships for the girls. We gave back to the community through our holiday charity drive that generated over 60 gifts for toys for tots and canned goods for hope house shelter. Our girls participated in the local walk for breast cancer, community christmas drive and strike out cancer fund raiser. Lastly, we provided access to our softball program for low- income families by continuing a sponsorship program that allows financially-challenged families to give their daughters the opportunity to raise their funds through our sponsor and fundraising programs.
