I've been with Joseph's Legacy for around 3.5 years now. I can say that we take some of "the worst of the worst" rescue cases. Meaning we rescue the ones that are in such bad medical shape that most rescues won't touch them. We won't let an animal cruely suffer in pain, but if there's a chance that a pet will survive and live a happy life we'll work our tails off getting donations to cover medical costs and to find the perfect foster to care for the pet. We cry lots of tears here at JL from the horrible abuse/neglect that we see these animals go through, but it's all worth it when we get to cry those tears of joy when we save one and get to see it go to their "Fur-Ever"
home !!

This rescue is amazing with an incredible team of volunteers. They take many of the cases that most other rescue won’t take...Animals in dire need of medical care. Even when the rescue is beyond “full”, they somehow pull together and find funding and placements for animals in need.

I love this group!!! They are unlike any rescue I’ve been apart of and I’m proud to be apart of it.
They go above and beyond for these animals, take the cases that no one wants, help the animals that cost too much money to help, save those who have been abandoned and starved.
And it amazes me every single day how we/us/JL pull together as a family to help raise money and awareness for these animals everyday!!
Help us help them!!

I have fostered many, many animals for Joseph's Legacy, over the past four years, and became a board member this year. One of my first fosters was an emaciated Pit Bull who was within days of death. Our mission statement speaks volumes (Joseph's Legacy strives to regain hope and respect for all animals. We educate the public about animal welfare and inform them of the extreme lack of awareness) and I stand behind this rescue with everything in my heart.

The lives this organization has saved is incredible. I have hope for our future with people like these. They are helping make the hole left in heart from the death of our fur baby, to heal. Thank you for bringing new life into our home

I just recently got involved with this non-profit, but I have had years of experience working with non-profits. I can already tell that this group of people is so overly passionate about helping animals in our community, that I am glad, and proud to be rescuing animals with them!

Joseph’s Legacy goes above and beyond to save extremely injured and ill stray animals. Hundreds of animals are getting off the streets every year to receive medical care, return home or find a new loving family to keep them safe forever!

Amazing animal rescue! Goes above and beyond to save injured and abused animals that other rescues would turn away. Very proud to support Josephs Legacy.

I am a former volunteer. I began volunteering about a year ago. I loved taking care of the animals I fostered and did as much as I could to help this nonprofit. In June 2016 I had 26 kittens, 9 adult cats and a dog I was fostering for them. There was an outbreak of a bad cat disease among the kittens and I had a hard time getting the president to take action on vet care so I posted on her secret volunteer page that I needed help. She got upset. Not because I had dead and dying kittens but because I posted it on her page where everyone could see it. My only concern was the kittens not what others would think. She deleted me from the page and sent someone to get the kittens. Three out of the bunch had been to the vet at this point. After a couple days I contacted her to see what her intention for the other 9 fosters was. She said she wanted 3 of the 9. She came and got three she wanted after she realized her threat to send her police friend was not going to work. That was on June 14 2016. I still have five cats that are theirs that they won't come and get. They say they are not theirs. Why was I taking them to adoption events if they weren't theirs? Why were they up for adoption on their page if they weren't theirs? Why did they vaccinate them if they weren't theirs? They were theirs when they used them to get donations for their care. Board members tried to say they have medical expences for my personal pets. I have a $50 cancelled check where I paid $5(cost) each for vaccinations on My 10 personal pets. They say the posts of these animals were courtesy posts yet all courtesy posts are clearly marked courtesy posts. Patrice Kairn

I have been with this group since January 2014. I have tracked, rescued, fostered, adopted, and provided respite for nearly 24 animals in that time frame. Most of the animals that pass through this non profit are injured, abused, and or neglected. Many of them severely. The compassion that the volunteers have for both the animals and families in need is unsurpassed. Because of the dedication, passion, and commitment of Meg Melampy, this rescue is known from shore to shore and beyond. There are volunteers and donors from as far away as CA and beyond. I am honored to be a part of this group! Everything you accomplish in life that is worthwhile, takes hard work and dedication. This group has every reason to be proud of their work! Long live Joseph's Legacy Rescue Organization!

I have worked with other animal welfare groups, but Joseph's Legacy is by far the most well run. I've never met a more dedicated group of foster parents, board members, and other volunteers. Not only do they rescue healthy animals, they go to extreme lengths to save emaciated, abused critcally ill, and discarded animals. I'm proud to be associated with Joseph's Legacy.

I started volunteering with this organization just this year. Being a stay at home mother whom is use to working, i needed to feel like I was contributing in some sort. I didn't know what I was in for. I have never met such wonderful, selfless people in my life. So many people going above and beyond to help not even just the animals but we empower each other! I have made wonderful friends and have even added to my fur family with Joseph's Legacy. I'm proud to say I work with the group and I will speak of them at any chance given.

This rescue goes above and beyond to take in animals that other rescues would not take in. From Red the Pitt Bull beaten with a baseball bat, to Leroy who was starved and left for dead, to Ava the abused Cat with 5 kittens that was swung by the tail and thrown leaving a horrendous spinal injury. The wonderful volunteers are selfless in their actions of caring for sick puppies with Parvo round the clock, every hour on the hour. Donations go toward the animals welfare and are strictly accountable following the 501c3 guidelines. I challenge any organization to keep up with the standards set by these volunteers and this rescue!

I have been in rescue for many years and I have seen a lot of them come and go. I am amazed at the dedication and drive this group has shown when other rescues have turned animals away whether it be breed, age, budget or space. They are committed to speak up against animal abuse and unafraid to expose the abusers. They have a large pool of compassionate volunteers and foster homes. To me that speaks volumes about the leaders of Josephs Legacy and their future.

I've worked with many rescues in this area, none of which have impressed me like this one.
They never reject an animal in need, and are a very responsible rescue when it comes to their animals and the fosters who take care of them.
Their fees are fair, and have even gone out of their way to help the community in any way possible.
They have done wonderful things for our community and the animals in it - I don't recommend any other rescue to those searching for a dog or cat.
In fact, JL also does exotic rescues sometimes, a rare thing to find in the rescue world - those willing to take what others won't touch, from injured and abused cats on the bring of death to an abandoned bunny rabbit left over from Easter covered in mange; this rescue goes above and beyond!

I currently volunteer for Josephs legacy and I actually started helping with the company after there company helped me locate my puppy when she got let out they do some many great things I wouldn't deal with any other rescue they are the best we do what we can to save and rehome as many as we can and give them a 2nd chance to have a happy and healthy life however because we are donations and limited on fosters we can only do so much
