Programs: Odc government services (odc-gs) provides vocational assistance and job placement services for people with disabilities in central wisconsin. Odc-gs provides paid training and work opportunities within its facilities in wisconsin rapids and marshfield, wi. A total of 17 individuals with disabilities received employment training within odc-gs in 2017. Odc-gs is a related corporation to opportunity development centers, inc. (odc). A total of 803 people received vocational assistance through odc and odc-gs in 2017. In addition to the center based training and employment opportunities, odc assists individuals in obtaining and maintaining jobs in the community. Through odc's community employment programs, 237 work experiences and jobs were obtained or maintained in 2017. Odc government services participates in the abilityone program, which is a national network of organizations providing employment and training to people with disabilities. A primary tool to provide these employment and training opportunities is the provision of goods and services to federal agencies. Odc-gs has an abilityone contract to produce vinyl label holders for the united states postal service. In 2017, odc-gs produced more than 35,200,000 label holders for the usps. Over 75% of the direct labor to produce these label holders is performed by people with disabilities. Jobs include machine operation, inspection and packaging of the label holders. Odc-gs also produces vinyl products for other commercial customers. All of odc and odc-gs programs are individualized based on a person centered plan, where individuals determine their personal goals and desired outcomes. Odc supports each person in achieving their goals and outcomes.
