Mission: The Oakland Citizen's Committee for Urban Renewal (OCCUR) has operated since 1954 helping the citizens of Oakland create economic and community development opportunities for themselves and their neighbors. OCCUR operates the Eastmont Computing Center (ECC) to deploy technology in support of wider quality of life issues. The ECC currently offers computer and Internet access and training with a focus on employment-focused certification.
Programs: The ECC serves over 350 people per week with free computer and Internet access, employment-focused training and technology-based enrichment activities for youth and teens.
