ODALC is the underdog you want to see win. As a young, all volunteer run organization - running as lean as possible to be able to directly help our community with the widest reach - we've continued to grow out of pure drive and passion. Whether we have been able to help graphic arts students build their portfolios and find work through our Inspire program or help local, small business owners develop the digital skills they need to improve their footing in an increasingly digital economy, Oakland Digital is affecting real people - and inspiring them to attain their dreams.

Oakland Digital Arts & Literacy Center has been a unique opportunity to hone my skills in a professional context. They are not picky and will accept any help they can get. They do not take their volunteers for granted. They have faith in people's abilities and do not make you feel small or unnecessary the way other organizations do.

ODALC calls for leaders of Silicon Valley and beyond to participate and contribute technical experience. Together we will strengthen the social fabric of the City while rejuvenating the image and future of Oakland's workforce.
