The North Texas Book Festival is small but mighty. Over the years, through the North Texas Book Festival, countless libraries and North Texas literary programs have received assistance through grants. This is the heart and soul of NTBF. Literary institutions have taken some hard budget hits and it is through programs like NTBF they are able to receive the help they desperately need. It is truly an organization with a mission that improves the lives of all North Texans through reading.
The North Texas Book Festival has helped small libraries and other literacy programs in the North Texas area through awarding monetary grants. Fundraisers are held throughout the year in order to give the grants to needy entities. It also gives Indie and Small Press authors a venue to showcase their work and compete for prizes.
This is a great organisation and I, as a children's author, really appreciate the work they're doing, supporting local authors and connecting them with readers. I enjoy the conference each year, I'm happy to participate, and I look forward to many more! Go NTBF!
NTBF is loved by myself and so many in the Denton, Texas community. Their book festivals are enjoyed by my family and we always try to win their fun contests! They also help libraries in need which is dear to my heart.
We were recently introduced to the North Texas Book Festival and love them! They are great at supporting local authors and independent publishers, as well as promoting literacy in their area. We love working with this nonprofit.
This non-profit group does their best to make sure that reading is NOT a forgotten art. Reading is important in the thought process, especially for the younger generation. In this electronic age, we cannot negate imagination. It is a necessity, not a luxury. Whether it is giving away books, raffling them off, or having a book fair, NTBF and its authors do their best to continue to spread the word about the written word! Thank you!
I am new to the North Texas Book Festival and so far it has been a blast! I have currently volunteered to design the scavenger hunt for the festival and it's going to be AMAZING!!!!! Cannot wait to see everyone there and please bring the kids. This organization is committed to a love of reading and is essential to our community!
The work of NTBF is unparalleled. NTBF is committed to supporting libraries, reading and literacy in the north Texas area, doing so with a membership of dedicated members who work tirelessly each year to raise funds to be able to award substantial grants. The impact their grants have made on school and public libraries, and their so important work supporting new authors/writers is impressive.
NTBF is THE number one supporter of indie and traditionally published authors in the state of Texas. The programs, support, reviews, and staff work hard to open doors that otherwise wouldn't be open. It's a true pleasure to be a part of this fine non-profit.
I have been a member of the North Texas Book Festival, Inc. since it began in 2000. The mission of NTBF to promote literacy, and to encourage family interaction that will foster reading and the love of books has been important to me all my life. NTBF has met my expectations every year by providing funds to help the area libraries and literacy programs continue their work. This small organization has been able to donate over $65,000 to over 15 libraries and literacy programs - many have received several donations over the years. I highly recommend NTBF as a great nonprofit to volunteer with and as a great way to fight for literacy for all people. A literate person is brought out of despair and poverty by learning to read! What a legacy for each individual who has been helped by NTBF!
The North Texas Book Festival is dedicated to supporting literacy in the North Texas area. Through the grants they award, small libraries and other literacy programs on small budgets can keep going. The North Texas Book Festival also gives authors the opportunity to showcase their work through entering the NTBF contest and through the event itself.
