Programs: 2017 was a busy year for the north loop neighborhood association. In partnership with the city of minneapolis, we created 6 large planting beds along washington ave and planted 16 trees. We hosted 5 neighborhood trash pick-up events that yielded over 300 bags of trash. We held five neighborhood engagement events, including our annual meeting in january that drew over 300 residents. We started plans to build three neighborhood parks, and lobbied the city to reconstruct about 40% of the streets and pedestrian crossings in the north loop (both are approved and will start in 2019). We also expanded our engagement efforts with enhancements to our website, facebook page and our email mailing list.
