Mission Haiti is passionate about its mission and doing wonderful things to empower the people of Haiti. I have seen first hand the impact the organization has had on elder care, education, farming, and the care of malnourished babies and children. It is a life-changing privilege to travel to Haiti with this organization. The Haitian people are resilient and kind and need all of the help we can provide.
I have known the team behind mission haiti since I was a teenager, and am certainly better for it. I have been to multiple fundraisers for Mission Haiti, each bigger, better, and bolder than the last, all with the goal in mind of helping our brothers and sisters in Haiti. While I have not been lucky enough to go on a mission trip with the organization, I am close with many who have - all of whom have described the life-changing work done in Haiti. The team behind Mission Haiti is thoughtful, strategic, and kind, to donors, board members and volunteers alike. They truly embody the hands and feet of Christ.
Mission Haiti is a truly amazing organization. I have not yet had the opportunity to personally travel down to the Annunciation School in Haiti but have watched friends and family members travel there and listened to their stories and experiences once they return home. It is beautiful and inspiring to hear their stories and know that the money raised really does go to the people, schools and parish and see what Mission Haiti has done for them. I have attended many Mission Haiti events and have had the ability to sponsor a student at the Annunciation sister school in Haiti and it has been such a rewarding experience. Mission Haiti is a wonderful organization and I am happy to be involved with an organization and people who have such passion and love for the work they do.
I'm an Annunciation graduate and I've participated and volunteered at countless Mission Haiti events and gatherings in the past. As an inconsistent contributor to the cause it's rewarding to see how consistent of a difference the leadership team makes in Haiti and how dedicated they are to making it a better place. They are thorough with their approach and thoughtful and creative with their ideas. I've seen first hand the difference Mission Haiti has made throughout the years and I would highly suggest donating to this organization. I feel very grateful to be associated with such wonderful people who make up such a great organization.
I was first introduced to Mission Haiti when a friend of mine took a mission trip to Haiti. One year later, I was fortunate enough to travel with the president of Mission Haiti himself and other volunteers to educate ourselves with the challenges that Haiti faces and better understand how impactful this organization truly is. It was an incredible opportunity to learn and see how Mission Haiti is making a difference.
We took trips to 3 of the schools that MH supports, where we spent time playing with the kids, shadowing their classes, and understanding where they need more resources and how MH can provide solutions. There is so much promise and hope with these kids and I was surrounded by so many beautiful smiles the entire time. We took a trip to Bethleen farm, where I learned just how impactful and necessary a sustainable farm can be. I take for granted how easy it is for me to get food at a grocery store, even just getting clean water, and I was blown away seeing how well they utilize this farm to provide for the Haitians in the community. We also had the chance to stop by the Elder home. It was so much fun to give the residents their very own “spa day” - doing their nails, massaging their hands and feet, and trying to provide a little entertainment with some dance and song.
It is such a beautiful country and I can’t wait to have the opportunity to make this trip again soon. Until then, I am so happy to know that Mission Haiti will continue their work by applying our donations directly to these resources they have within the country.
I have been involved with Mission Haiti for many years. I was fortunate to be able to travel with them on an immersion trip in January of 2017. I was able to see first hand the great work that is being done in Haiti with their help. They are a wonderful organization and have an amazing group of dedicated volunteers who make up their board of directors.
Our family has been donating to Mission Haiti Inc for many years. They are an amazing organization dedicated to helping the people of Haiti. They do this through promoting education of children, care of abandoned elderly women, and supporting a farm. I was able to travel to Haiti in January of 2017 and saw first hand the wonderful work they are doing.
We're so glad you were able to travel with us--thank you.
Have volunteered with the fund raising aspect of Mission Haiti for several years and love it! To know that every penny raised goes to the schools, farm, programs, people of Haiti makes it all so worthwhile. Everyone involved with this program is so enthusiastic...makes me want to do as much as I can to help this Mission continue!
We love to volunteer for Mission Haiti. I have volunteered in a few different capacities but my favorite is The Eli Project. My daughter and I look forward to this opportunity that occurs several times a year to create diapers from donated tee shirts . The benefits are many; upcylcing tee shirts, spending time with others in our community, bonding time with my daughter, learning to sew and providing much needed diapers to the babies in Haiti. We are thankful to be able to contribute in some way to this valuable organizaton.
When I joined the Church of Annunciation In Minneapolis in 1996, A parishioner, Phyllis Sheehan, told us about Annunciation School in Leogane, Haiti that she and her husband had started and wanted our support. From that effort, Mission Haiti Inc. was born and I have been supportive ever since.
I went with Mission Haiti Inc. to see the Annunciation school, The village of Jesus and the Bethleem Farm and to volunteer at Mother Teresa's Missionaries of Charity Wellness Center.
Through these trips, we witnessed first hand the results of this nonprofit's efforts. They are remarkable.
I have been involved in many of the efforts in Minneapolis to support this nonprofit. I have participated in a project to create diapers out of T shirts for Mother Teresa's Wellness center called the Eli project. I have attended many fund raising events this group sponsors. The love for the Haitian children and people is so evident. This nonprofit is always thinking of new events to motivate people of all ages to get involved. The many volunteers and donors associated with this group participate because of this nonprofit's board members' passion.
Wonderful, dedicated organization.
I have had the pleasure of working with them for years.
Highly recommend this group
Thank you very much!
Regarding the leadership over the many years, Mission Haiti is a superb organization!
The leaders make sure they value each volunteer and find a role for everyone. We do not have to travel to Haiti to learn about the progress and current challenges. There are many educational and awareness opportunities
Mission Haiti's passion for the Haitian people-babies, children, elderly, agriculture, healthcare, education draws me to this organization and I will continue to support them!
Mission Haiti has been a part of my life for a long time. Growing up the school I went to had a strong involvement with Mission Haiti and was constantly raising money for our sister school, and others we helped to support. A couple years ago I finally took the next step and traveled down to Haiti myself. To see the school system first hand was great and to interact with the children and the adults running the school was even better. Haiti is full of loving and giving people, it’s a blessing to be able to feel that love in person. Mission Haiti helps to promote the next generation of Haitians and does so in the most authentic and generous way.
I have been involved with Mission Haiti by volunteering at donor events and fundraisers to allow the organization to make an impact in Haiti. Additionally, I have had family members who have traveled to Haiti with the organization and cannot speak enough about their positive experiences in helping others there. It is truly a special organization and it is one that I see myself being involved with for many years to come.
I have attended several Mission Haiti dinners in the past and it has been a desire of mine to go to Haiti. The mission and the dedication of the people is just what the Gospels talk about. Helping the poor and those in need. There is so much that is needed and we can help in so many ways. I aspire to help in any way that I can. I am planning to go to Haiti in January if the unrest that is now happening subsides. My prayers are that there will be peace all over the world but right now especially in Haiti. Everyone can play a part in some way. We all have gifts that we can share. Blessings.
Mission Haiti is an organization that is led by a caring and passionate group of people. The stewards of this organization work hard to improve the lives of Haitians and the results are impressive. I have not traveled to Haiti to experience the work of Mission Haiti but I have learned about the power of the work through the updates and local gatherings that the leaders host to share the impact that has resulted from our support.
I have seen first hand how hard this organization has worked over the years to continue to progress and support projects in Haiti since 2006. I love how they continue to move forward and do not get discouraged by any setbacks or obstacles that may come their way. As an educator I believe that education is so important. Mission Haiti Inc has worked to give students a better learning environment and materials along with so much more. Children in Haiti have been given he opportunity to learn to read and write which is something that many of these children's parents have never had access to.
When I donate money to nonprofits, I like to know that the people involved in the decision-making process of that organization are compassionate, hard-working and truly dedicated to their cause. I’ve never thought twice about donating to Mission Haiti because I know my contribution will be thoughtfully spent.
Having a wonderful organization like MHI allows people from this area to help support our brothers and sisters from Haiti without leaving home. I am proud to work with a fine non profit like Mission Haiti.
Every penny is so carefully and well spent. Give to this charity with confidence knowing that your money is used to help the poorest of the poor.
My whole family went to Haiti with MHI president, Jimmy Dunn. The whole experience changed the lives of me and my husband and all our kids. EVERYONE involved with MHI is volunteer. All money raised goes directly to help the people of Haiti. It's amazing. Check it out.
Awesome charity!! This organizations has done more for Haiti and its people than much, much larger non-profits! You can be assured your donation to Mission Haiti Inc. is going to be maximized for the people of Haiti.
I have traveled twice with this group to Haiti and there could not be a better group of people called to this work! Jimmy Dunn, the President, and the board are 100% committed to making a difference. Not just a "one and done" but truly helping in ways that are completely sustainable. Whether it's helping with education for the Haitian youth, visiting the abandoned elderly women, working in health clinics, supporting local artisans, or helping at Mother Theresa's with the sick babies...so many opportunities to help and support these beautiful Haitian people!
As a board member I am so inspired each year in the impact we can make in Haiti. It motivates me more to share this organizations wonderful story.
I had the oppotunity to witness the dedication of Mission Haiti Inc. school in Leogane Haiti in 1998. Over the years I have witnessed enrollment growth, classroom expansion and teacher certification. I am a strong believer that education is the key to breaking the cycle of poverty. Mission Haiti Inc. is changing lives by feeding and educating Haitian children. It is an honor to serve on this board, I could not be prouder!
I traveled to Port A Prince, Haiti in the summer ahead of my junior year of high school. It was the most empowering experience i have ever had and i will ALWAYS remember my time spent there. I can still vividly see the faces of the kids we cared for. I miss them a lot and it breaks my heart knowing that some of them are still sick and suffering. I truly hope i get the chance to go back to Haiti someday. Thank you Mission Haiti!!
I have been on three trips with Mission Haiti and had the good fortune to experience the last trip with my high-school-aged daughter. I've seen first-hand the love and service and care that this organization provides. It has deep connections to the Haitian people and deserves our support.
I have been to Haiti twice with this wonderful organization and seen firsthand the positive results of their hard work at the school and with the Missionarities of Charity. Countless volunteers giving their time and energy to help rebuild the country. All the fundraising goes directly to the people who need it most. I am so proud to be affiliated with this organization.
Thank you so much for the nice words. we appreciate your support!
I joined the group to tour Haiti and see their work in action, especially in schools. As a school leader I am so impressed with the work they are doing.
I have traveled to Haiti twice with Mission Haiti. Both times I took our then high school sophomore son/daughter. Both trips were amazing, and I plan to go on future trips with Mission Haiti!
This Non-Profit generates hope for the future for the people from the country of Haiti. Whether its helping the Sisters plant new fields, take care of the sick children, bringing electricity, water, or bees to these folks, or educating the youth of Haiti, Mission Haiti, Inc., finds way to continually bring an influx of cash to these people to help them progress their future. I have been asked to be a Board member of this great organization and could not be prouder of the work we do.
I have traveled to Mother Theresa's twice now with both of my sons and it has been a life changing experience for both of them and for me. It provides a view of a third world country with so much poverty and also shows what is so important in life-true happiness is having relationships with your loved ones. This is truly a blessing to learn early in life and learning how to give your time and help to others is a lifelong lesson as well.
My son and I had the opportunity to go on a Mission trip through Mission Haiti June 2016. It was a life changing event for both of us. Mission Haiti takes care of infants, toddlers and children whom are ill until they are healthy enough to go back home. They build schools, educate children and continue to educate children while they grow into young adults going into college with the anticipation of giving back to the community as an adult. Mission Haiti also takes care of elderly adults. We witnessed the sisters taking care of the people of Haiti from birth to the very elderly with respect, dignity and love.
Thank you so much!
I went on the Mission Haiti Trip in June of 2018. I was blown away by the kindness and generosity of the Sisters, and of their competence in such poverty. They use every resource, including us volunteers. The babies touched my heart in so many ways. I want to return. This trip far exceeded my expectations for spiritual growth and retrospection.
In January of 2016 I had the pleasure of going to Haiti with my parish and it was one of the best experiences of my life! I would love to make it back with the parish and cannot thank the nonprofit enough for the experience I had
My wife and I recently had the priviledge to go on a Mission Haiti trip. It was an amazing experience and we appreciate the opportunity to share our love and faith with our Haitian friends. The trip was extremely well organized which made it even more rewarding. I can't wait to go again soon!
Extremely competent and through hands on monitoring of their projects with frequent visits by board members and volunteers very involved in various projects and mission efforts in Haiti with particular attention to the distribution of funds by their partners in Haiti
I attended a week long mission trip to Haiti in March 2018, coordinated by Mission Haiti, Inc.
As a group we were able to focus on fulfilling the objectives of the trip because all the logistics involving travel, lodging and security within the country were handled professionally and efficiently by Mission Haiti, Inc.
I would recommend Mission Haiti, Inc to anyone considering a similar trip to this beautiful country.
I was blessed to be a member of the March 2018 Mission Haiti trip, sponsored by Mission Haiti Inc. This was an excellent trip...so well planned and executed with great feeling, sensitivity and with a wealth of exposure to so many aspects of the country. Our van driver was wonderful and could trans;ate fluently, as did our guides. We toured to see a number of schools, 2 hospitals, a trade school, a recycling project and orphanage. The experience was life-changing in every way. The trip included time for the members to both witness and be involved in various activities, as well as time to pray and to process what we had seen.
The country will bring you tears, but also bring hopes as your heart and mind are drawn to be "part of the solution" in waking with these folks towards a better day for Haiti.
I was privileged to be a member of this immersion trip.
I have been involved with Mission Haiti for several years now and have seen the great work they do with the people of Haiti. Since they work with local Haitians directly who are responsible for the distribution of the money that is raised they are able to bypass the corruption that can often hamper relief efforts in Haiti. The money that is raised directly affects the local people by supplying a farm that grows food for the locals, several schools to teach the children craving an education, scholarships for many children and young adults to attend elementary school, high school, as well as university in Haiti. It's great to be part of an organization that does such a great job directly helping the people in Haiti.
I have been involved with Mission Haiti for a number of years attending their fund raising events and hearing about the mission they have in Haiti. A couple of years ago I went on an immersion trip to Haiti that was arranged by Mission Haiti and had an incredible experience. It was deeply moving to see first hand the situation in Haiti and how the citizens dealt with their conditions. The enterprising nature of the people showed how hard they would work to try to better their situation. The best reason I can share for my support for Mission Haiti is their philosophy of supporting the people in Haiti by allowing them to do the work that supports the mission rather than sending people to Haiti to build things. From what I saw, the people in Haiti are more than capable and certainly willing to do any work that is made available to them. All-in-all my experience with Mission Haiti has been awesome.
Thank you. We appreciate your thoughts about what you value in MHI.
I went to Haiti this past summer and served through Mission Haiti. I had the opportunity to work with children in need and was able to see the variety of necessity in this country. This was an unforgettable experience. Mission Haiti is clearly passionate about sharing love and giving the people of Haiti a place to live and learn.
I'm incredibly thankful to have been apart of the work Mission Haiti does. Their work with the farm, elementary schools, and their care for babies and the elderly is truly making an impact. I was lucky enough to go on an immersion trip with Mission Haiti in the January of 2017, and the experience was life-changing. Witnessing firsthand the devastating conditions the people of Haiti live in was at times very hard to see, but being able to see the work Mission Haiti is doing to help the Haitians gave me hope. The people of Haiti need our help, and Mission Haiti is a great organization continuously leaving a positive impact there.
We're thankful you made the trip with us, and thank you for your kind words.
Going on the Mission Haiti trip was absolutely amazing. In Haiti we stayed with the Missionaries of Charity and helped out with the babies and children living there. It was humbling to meet some of the strong inspiring caring sisters that work so hard to better the lives of others. On this trip you will definitely see poverty and everything that comes with it but you will also see the joy, optimism, and resilience of the Haitian people. Most days we were with the sisters in their compound taking care of sick children, but we also did a trip where we traveled to the sister's farm and got to see the schools that Mission Haiti supports. This trip was filled with memories that I will never forget and I am so glad I had the opportunity to go.
This past June I went on a mission trip to Port-au-Prince, Haiti. This was by far the most meaningful thing I have ever done. Helping these children has inspired me to go to college and use my degree to try and lift Haiti out of poverty. Mission Haiti has given me a desire to be my best self so I can in turn help the people of Haiti be their best selves too.
This is so beautiful--thank you.
Four of my five family members have been to Haiti with Mission Haiti. I have been there once, my wife and daughter have been there twice and my son has been there three times.
My experience gave me a greater understanding of my place in the world. So many of the things we daily take for granted are simply not available to the people of Haiti. And yet they go on. Children go to school and play, adults work, care for their children and gather with friends and neighbors, just as we do. They appear to be happy and I have seen them be generous and yet by our standards they have next to nothing. We have much we can and should share with them. They remind me that it's not things that matter.
The experiences my wife and children have had are also very memorable for me. All three of them returned from Haiti each time as different people than they were before they went. In sharing their experiences they got to re-live them. It was pure joy for me to see my wife so excited to tell me what she saw and did. And as a parent there is nothing more rewarding than seeing your children grow in their knowledge and understanding of the world, their place in it and what their responsibilities are.
Mission Haiti is doing wonderful things in Haiti by supporting two schools, the sisters who teach there, a farm where the sisters live, and a home for abandoned women. It is also doing a great service here in the US, to those of us who have been lucky enough to travel to Haiti by enlightening us both mentally and spiritually.
I would recommend traveling with Mission Haiti to anyone who would like to broaden your horizons and expand your knowledge of your social and spiritual place in the world.
Our family experience with Mission Haiti Inc. was excellent! I had the opportunity of taking three of my teenage daughters to Haiti through the Mission Haiti Inc last March. From the moment we decided to go, everything was very well organized and cohesive. This was our first mission experience and the concern and care given was enough to eliminate many of my fears. From the moment we departed from Miami to the time we returned, every detail was taken care of. Everything from lodging to meals and safe transportation was provided. Traveling with Mission Haiti Inc. ensured a safe experience with minimal stress for my daughters and I.
Thank you! We so enjoyed traveling with you and your daughters! Miss you!
I had the good fortune to go with a volunteer group to Haiti in January 2016, and witnessed first hand the work of Mission Haiti. Mission Haiti builds schools, offers the opportunity for a good education to the young; feeds the hungry by helping maintain a bountiful farm; and cares for the elderly. Most importantly, Mission Haiti treats our Haitian sisters and brothers with dignity. A truly wonderful organization.
I went with my mom twice to Haiti with Mission Haiti. I have loved the connections that I have made with the students in Haiti and I loved volunteering at the feeding clinic with the babies in PAP. The people there don't have very much, but they are very good people who need a lot of help. It is fun and inspiring to see all of the good that Mission Haiti is doing for the people in Haiti.
Beautiful photos of beautiful girls00thanks for posting.
On my mission trip to Haiti in the summer of 2016, I witnessed first-hand the hardships that people in third world countries face on a daily basis. I worked with young children at a wellness center, grown adults at a street clinic, and senior citizens in a nursing home. Each new place I went I had a new eye-opening experience. From everything that happened on that trip, all the poverty and depression within the country, the thing that I took away most was hope. I found hope in the future through every smiling face that I encountered. I believe that there is a lot of good to be done in this world, and I can contribute to that good in a major way when I grow up. Mission Haiti has had an incredible influence on my life and I am eternally grateful for the opportunities that the program has given me time and time again.
Mission Haiti is so grateful for you!
Really love the work that Mission Haiti does for Haiti. They help to bring awareness to the plight of the Haitian people and make a real difference by helping to build schools, helping with local farming, and working alongside the Missionaries of Charity sisters. So grateful for Mission Haiti.
You're the best--thanks!
Mission Haiti is doing incredible things. I have been to Haiti twice to see their mission in action. They are changing the lives of so many, especially the children. Education, with meals included, is a life changer for those kids and families. Their work is so important. Mission Haiti is one of my favorite charities.
You are helping to do incredible things in Haiti--thank you.
Mission Haiti Inc is a wonderful organization dedicated to lifting Haitians up through education, farming, and self empowerment. They support several schools in and around the community of Leogane, Haiti. They believe that the most successful method to improve the conditions of Haiti is by educating it's children so that they may build a nation that is self sustaining in the future. This organization also supports a home for abandoned women. And a farm that supplies food to the schools and home. I have had the great fortune to travel to Haiti to see this work first hand. The beautiful smiling faces of the children and the women in the home was a blesssing to witness! I have been a supporter and volunteer with this organization for over seven years and each year I feel blessed to see all that they have helped the citizens of Leogane accomplish.
Thanks for all you do to help Mission Haiti!
I Have been a donor for years to this nonprofit. They are dedicated. The educate the poor, teach and support local solutions to the people. They work in the country with the people to create lasting solutions for the people by the people. They support local groups from the USA to visit and to see, know and love the people. The result is contagious. Mostly I am impressed with the overall dedication to education. This is key to end poverty. I support Mission Haiti
Blessings to you.
I am another quintessential white privileged American wanting to “give back” to the world. I am also one of those lame volunteer tourists who say that working in Haiti was “life changing”. However- all that is completely true for me.
It was a radical experience unlike nothing else. I thought my previous life experiences would have prepared me for Haiti. They did not.
The things I saw and lived were nearly unbelievable. I don’t think you can fully appreciate Haiti until you have been there.
That said, I believe that Mission Haiti is an excellent charitable organization. They have been committed to the people of Leogane since the ‘90’s. The have minimal overhead and organizational fees- I cannot quite you exact numbers, but I have seen first hand the running of the organization and promise that it is not rife with corruption.
I was able to meet the nuns who actually run the school/gardens/home for women, and come to understand their mission and compassion. I was able to visualize projects completed and those Stil in The works. We were able to see first hand the damage still apparent from the earthquake in 2010. And come to understand a people continually betrayed by a corrupt and no effectual government.
The value of Mission Haiti is immeasurable, especially to the lives it impacts in Leagane. It is a most worthy and trusted organization.
Thank you for your thoughtful words about your experience. Much appreciated.
Mission Haiti has provided me and my children not once, but twice, an amazingly intimate and personalized experience. We enjoyed understanding the depth and breadth of the issues, how we can help more back here on the mainland, and where our energy and money will be most effective for the Haitians and their community. From a logistical standpoint, the planning was fantastic, the lodging was comfortable, the food was good, and the travel itself was just fine. The cost was appropriate, the activities and dedicated time spent with various groups of people was enjoyable, and overall, it was a great value. The group leaders were great and the groups themselves were fantastic. I would do this over and over! Thankyou!
We're so glad that you had a good experience and hope you are able to travel with us again. Thanks so much for your kind words.
This organization is focused in its mission and it's volunteers are dedicated, passionate individuals. They make an impact not just through monetary donations but through human connections.
Very kind--thank you.
The joy of being present in every moment, giving and receiving the abundance of love was overwhelming; and a heart stretched with the sufferings of Jesus, this was a spiritually moving experience.
Dorothy Russell, SSJ Associate
Thanks Dorothy! It was a joy traveling with you.
I went on a trip to Haiti to volunteer with Mission Haiti. They are doing amazing things, from giving children education to nursing sick infants back to health. My experience was extremely immersive and I feel priveliged to have been a part of such a great mission.
Mission Haiti is an amazing organization. Mission Haiti partners with Haitians to support sustaining projects. In addition to supporting projects in education, agriculture, and care for the elderly - Mission Haiti supports individual Haitians to accomplish their hopes and dreams.
Mission Haiti is doing some incredible things for the country and is run by some of the most caring and hardworking people I know. They're making significant change for the people of Haiti!
I visited with Mission Haiti Inc in February,2016. The events of the trip has been sealed in my heart.
Our leaders were tireless in making sure that we saw the roses, the thorns and I have come home with a bud in my heart more determined than ever to spread the word that our nieghbors in Haiti are desperate for our mercy to provide the means to help lift them out of poverty. The focus on education and sustainability is right on target. I know first hand that any donation sent to Mission Haiti Inc will provide boundless opportunities for the ultimate recipients in Haiti. Thank you Jimmy, Connie, Jack and Shelley for sharing the fullness of the paschal mystery.
Dr. Sharon White, SSJ, LCSW, LMFT
I am lucky enough to say I experienced what an incredible nonprofit Mission Haiti Inc is and witnessed what outstanding work that is being done by this group. I travelled with the president Jimmy Dunn, a few board members, and a couple other volunteers who wanted to see what was truly being done in Haiti by our nonprofit. I got to play and talk with kids from three different schools that Mission Haiti donates to and learn more about what they learn in school and how much they enjoy it. I was able to see and learn what more can be done for these kids, and being a college student myself, I was able to see what ideas that Mission Haiti has that can help the kids develop. We were able to see what the farm system project that we are funding looks like, and what improvements are needed to make this a better functioning and useful tool for the Haitians. The president showed us how much improvement has already been made so far and I really could not imagine what they would have to do for food without the improvements that Mission Haiti has funded and helped build. The last big project that I was fortunate enough to experience was the elderly homes that Mission Haiti strives to make as comfortable and helpful as possible. We spent a day giving the elderly women a "spa day" by massaging them, motioning their dry hands and feet, and painting their finger nails. I was able to learn first-hand how important it is to take care of these women who otherwise would be alone and dying on the streets, whereas they are given a much better life here at the home that Mission Haiti supports. Overall, seeing all that Mission Haiti Inc does and pushes to do in the future makes me realize that this is a nonprofit that I want to be involved with for the rest of my life.
Mission Haiti Inc is an organization that incorporates it's community in a truly magical way. The opportunities it allows its volunteers to have is one that allows each volunteer to connect with the charity on a personal level. The trips it organizes, in addition to the stories and passion it brings back to Minnesota has ignited a community to truly give itself to this cause. The relationship this organization allows its volunteers to forge with the Haitians they encounter makes the connections to it even stronger and because of this it is allowing multiple generations to be involved in a worthy cause.
I've had the privilege and opportunity to see the good works of Mission Haiti in action over the past 10 years through volunteering and other benefits. Most recently had the opportunity to take a trip to Haiti and personally witness the good works of Mission Haiti. last month with my parents, son, family members and friends. I witnessed the resources of Mission Haiti put to work building a sustainable model through education, health and wellness, nutrition and agriculture. But most of all, I had the benefit of seeing firsthand the devotion, commitment, love and resources of Mission Haiti and the life changing effect this mission has on the lives of so many.
Thank you very much for your review! We're so glad that you and your family has a good trip and got to see first-hand what Mission Haiti Inc. is all about.
Mission Haiti Inc. granted me the opportunity to witness, learn about, and experience Haiti in an entirely novel way. On my trip I was I able to see the both the sorrows, and overwhelming joys of the resilient and determined Haitian people, and to participated in meaningful dialogue about the struggles they face. Furthermore, I was inspired to see the incredible work Mission Haiti has been doing in Haiti for over ten years and was left with a sense of promise and a desire to continue working with Mission Haiti to bring about sustained change.
Thank you for your own kind words. The best praise we can receive is just what you said, "a sense of promise and a desire to continue working" with us.
Mission Haiti is a fantastic organization, it is absolutely the best non-profit that I have worked with. I have known about Mission Haiti since I was in kindergarten. My elementary school, Annunciation, supports a sister school down in Haiti. Through Mission Haiti, I have been able to learn about the children down there as well as the Adults and Culture. My senior year in high school I traveled with Mission Haiti to Haiti. I was able to see the children we have supported, ages kindergarten to University. Being able to travel to Haiti and see what I have supported and cared about was an amazing experience.
How great that you have been involved with Haiti since kindergarten --thank you for being such a great supporter in many ways. We so appreciate your kind words!
I have a very personal experience with this nonprofit because I took my very first trip to Haiti with them this past January. The trip exceeded my expectations and was a great influence on my decision to continue to support the organization
I'm so glad that you had a good experience travelling with us! We appreciate your support!
I traveled with the Mission Haiti group in February 2016. It was a life changing experience in many ways. The staff of Mission Haiti thoroughly prepared us for the trip until the day we left.
There were no major surprises in our trip because of the clear, detailed information we received.
I felt safe, ate delicious food and fell in love with people who were so welcoming and hope filled that I am forever grateful that I was asked to go to Haiti.
Thanks for travelling with us and for the kind words!
Mission Haiti Inc is somewhat small in stature yet very large with the ongoing partnership that they continue to develop with the people of Haiti. All of the folks involved in the organization from volunteers to donors are ordinary folks who simply share the extraordinary goal of working towards parity and social justice to ensure that regardless of where one lives, all may have an opportunity at a rich and dignified life.
I grew up hearing a lot about Haiti. It was something else to go there myself. I went to Haiti last summer and it was an experience I'll never forget. To see how people live in developing countries was extremely eye opening. Mission Haiti pushed me out of my comfort zone by taking care of babies and interacting with people of a different culture. I hope to volunteer again ASAP.
