the nutcracker: holiday ballet classic, which depicts young claire's journey on christmas eve to the land of snow and sweets. 5 shows presented at hartman theatre, plattsburgh state university november 2012. Approx 70 local dancers and community members from 3 northern ny counties participated as well as professional dancers from nyc. 1000 total attendees. The nutcracker was also performed under contract at the lake placid center for the performing arts, 2 performances in dec 2012. The production included parts for local children as well as professional dancers from nyc. The shows were sold out to an audience of approx 700 attendees.
