Causes: Health, Specifically Named Diseases
Mission: The north american society on thrombosis and hemostasis, inc. , hereinafter referred to as "the society" is a regional professional society dedicated to the advancement of thrombosis and hemostasis research, education and clinical care. The society has a particular interest in attracting new scientists into the field, and supporting both early career and experienced clinicians and scientists by providing a regular scientific meeting for information exchange.
Programs: We had three primary program activities in 2017: 1) supported the planning of the 2018 thrombosis & hemostasis summit of north america, held in march 2018. We assisted with speaker recruitment and program planning. 2) planned an educational meeting for about 75 early career investigators in conjunction with the hemostasis & thrombosis research society (htrs), held in march 2018. 3) continued our research fellowship program and supported three medical students for summer-long research projects in thrombosis and hemostasis.
