Causes: Centers to Support the Independence of Specific Populations, Human Services
Mission: The organization's mission is to inspire, train and empower all people to lead lives of nonviolence.
Programs: The organization provided 175 children in need with screened and trained adult volunteer mentors. Our support groups served another 50 youth. Over 300 total youth in 2nd and 5th grade were provided with a 12-week gang prevention curriculum. Our activities program provided a high quality 12-week long youth summer activities camp for 12 boys. Our fatherhood program served over 60 fathers and their families. And our media campaign featured over 120 individuals taking a high profile stand for nonviolence in our local newspaper. Representatives from organization also served on various professional networks and coalitions in order, and produced various events, in order to help improve policies and practices related to our field to achieve positive outcomes for our community and our society.
