The negligence and unreasonable treatment I have witness from Heart of Taos is just saddening. My mother and I fell on hard times and we were referred to them and brought into a hotel for emergency shelter. Today we are being wrongfully “removed” from our room and sent to the streets. We are being accused of breaking the rules of the program and according to their records we’ve been given 3 written warnings. We have been fully compliant of all rules and have not been given any write ups to our knowledge. I simply don’t understand how this place is supposed to “help” someone when they clearly failed to efficiently meet our needs. I don’t wish this treatment upon anyone. It is unjustified and is ultimately placing my mother in distress. I wouldn’t want anyone to experience what we have here.
