Mission: Bridging library science and technological innovation, metro services help information professionals succeed in an evolving digital world. We do this through workshops, special events, online communication channels, member courier service, digitization and technology improvement grants, innovative internships, to name just a few.
Programs: Metro assists over 250 libraries (public, academic, hospital, medical center, non-profit organizations) in nyc and westchester county by: training librarians; distributing grant funding for technology, digitization, buying books and electronic databases; providing courier/delivery service; providing an interactive website for collaboration and information; and supporting the missions of libraries and their parent institutions.
