Causes: Education
Mission: Promote the welfare and advancement of new mexicos community and technical colleges and to foster the concepts of community college education.
Programs: Host all-new mexico academic team. Each two-year college in new mexico may nominate two students per campus to the all-usa academic team. Students from new mexico nominated to the national team comprise the all-new mexico academic team. Nominations are based on outstanding academic performance and service to the college and community. Phi theta kappa, two year college presidents and community college associations co-sponsor the all-state recognition program held in the state capital with legislators and higher education leaders.
the new mexico association of community colleges hosts a legislative dinner annually to educate and inform new mexico's legislators and their staff on new mexico's college issues.
