Nonprofit Overview
Causes: Family Services, Human Services
Mission: To give children a safe home while educating their birth parents so that family reunification can take place. To have children adopted into safe homes, stable families.
Programs: Foster care - took care of over 110 children and licensed (estimated 25+) foster homes some of which were for relative placements. Our objective is to protect children and educate their parents while protecting the children from abusive and/or neglectful environments and then once the parental homes are more receptive to raising the children without causing them harm, return them to their birth parents.
adoption - we had 15 adoptions with more in the works awaiting court orders. The court system in our area is back logged with requests for parental rights revocations and as such many of the adoptions are being held. Our objective is to have more children placed in adoptive homes so that they will have a stable and loving environment to grow and develop in.
home visitation - training parents, in their own home, on proper parenting skills so that their children will not have to go into foster care or to have their children returned to their home from foster care.
