New Hope for Neighborhood Renewal makes a difference in the Marshall Shadeland neighborhood by providing mentoring for students, providing a community garden space and by purchasing a nuisance bar and transforming it into the Cafe 'n Creamery where families can relax and enjoy ice cream and gourmet coffee in a safe and welcoming atmosphere. Programs: S. T. E. P & y. E. S. Kids mentoring provided one-on-one educational, life-skills& spiritual guidance to approximately 35 youth in grades 6-12. Also provided scholarship money to students for post-secondary education.
