Programs: During the 2016-17 school year, new heights charter school served approximately 442 students in transitional kindergarten (tk) to eighth grade. Students in grades tk to 2 attend classes on the lower campus located at 2202 martin luther king jr. Blvd. And students in grades 3 to 8 attend classes at 3989 hobart blvd. (5 minutes from the lower campus). The heart of the educational program at new heights charter school is the nurture of the academic, social, emotional and physical development of each child. This approach to teaching and learning encourages student initiative and ownership, promotes inquiry, foster dialogues, generates awareness of healthy choices, expands and strengthens thinking processes and develops basic skills in reading, writing, mathematics, speaking and listening.
