Mission: Neighborhood house community center's mission is to provide high-quality programming and social services that facilitate the growth of a diverse, responsible and welcoming community.
Programs: Neighborhood house community center serves as a community meeting place for over 35 community groups and associations each year. The center offers various meeting rooms and a gym space to the public for nominal fees to help offset costs. Each year, over 3,000 people take advantage of the facility.
each summer neighborhood house community center provides an eight-week summer day camp for children ages 7 to 12. The camp provides safe and high quality activities for youth, including swim lessons, tutoring, games, arts and crafts, community involvement, and service projects. Approximately 80% of the youth attending the camp receive financial assistance.
neighborhood house community center provides a wide variety of programs year round for the community. These programs include after school tutoring, mixed media art classes, cartoons and comics art classes, movie and a meal nights, ice cream socials, yoga classes, holiday parties, speaker series, gallery nights, and city committee meetings. Each year, over 2,000 people participate in these programs.
