Mission: Our history is based upon 102 years of collective work, by NPI''s staff, in forty two Third World countries, and disadvantaged areas of the United States. NPI owns sixty three proprietary technologies all designed to provide self-help, self-reliance, disaster relief, housing, and homeland security solutions for the poor. Our philosophy and purpose are based upon helping the poor and disadvantaged, worldwide, without discrimination. The above is accomplished primarily by virtual/distance education in innovative techniques for community food security, self-sufficiency housing, health care, alternative (renewable) energy, environmentally protective micro- enterprises, carbon sequestration, disaster relief, and homeland security technologies.
Programs: 1)Development and operation of "Self-Help, Self-Reliance Training Centers in the U.S., Mexico, India, & Kenya." 2)Virtual/distance educational programming to provide self-help training support for worldwide "aid" volunteers; e.g. Peace Corps, AmeriCorps, etc; 3)Construction and operations of innovative training models to demonstrate an array of affordable, problem specific self-help solutions; e.g. use of a solar still to convert polluted water to potable water; 4)Work pioneering multi-purpose solutions such as recovery of potentially polluting excess nutrients to grow a microalgae-biodiesel fuel, having nutraceuticals and high protein food/feed; 5)Perfection of earth-block home construction techniques to lower housing costs and improve solar performance; 6)Demonstration of assorted home-based microenterprises, for self-employment and income generation; and 7)Use of unique alternative transportation for remote areas; e.g. float-bag, cargo canals. 8)Recruitment and "tasking" of a premier, volunteer, self-help technical staff. All the above programs are designed to benefit the poor and disadvantaged populations, worldwide, without discrimination. 9) Disaster relief, Homeland Security and biosecurity technologies/ training.
