Mission: Education of public and support for naval sea services
Programs: Promotion of sea services - coast guard ball. Biennial celebration recognizing bay area coast guard units, members and families. Free and reduced price tickets are provided for the ball. Attendance at the ball included enlisted, officers and their friends and families. Attendance at 2017 was approximately 500 personnel. Ticket prices are pro rated based on rank and donations are raised to offset the cost of the ball.
promotion of sea services - award recognition for adopted units. Recognition / awards presented to members of us navy, us marines and us coast guard, along with navy league sea cadets for outstanding service. Approximately 20-40 awards per year.
promotion of sea services - morale events including support for bbqs, luncheons, heritage days, service annual awards programs, veterans programs and other council events remembering specific sea service events. Approximately 200-400 personnel
promotion of sea services through coordination with local councils, including joint fundraising efforts with proceeds split between the three councils to continue the work with the adopted units.
