Causes: Nonprofit Management
Mission: Natural high provides tools and programs to help youth discover, amplify and pursue their natural high. By creating tools, developing programs, and fostering communities, natural high meets youth where they're at: in schools, online, and in the community.
Programs: In schools: natural high provides research informed drug-prevention programming to teachers across the country at no cost. Programming consists of 1) stories of celebrities sharing their personal stories of choosing their natural highs over drugs, 2) discussion guides, 3) worksheets, and 4) additional activities that focus on resiliency theory, 40 developmental assets and sparks theory to change social norming. Natural high filmed three new celebrity and athlete ambassadors, while releasing four new stories. Through digital marketing, natural high was able to grow the education network to 25,000 users across the country. Development of more than 140 lessons was completed, and development of an all new education platform was started. Nationally, natural high clubs were created at multiple schools, and the video & essay contest brought in a total of 349 entries (133 videos and 216 essays) from 41 states.
online: in cy 2017 the education platform was used by more than 8,600 educators, coaches, parents and mentors resulting in the expansion of the platform's functions. This expansion will allow educators to streamline multi-day lessons of natural high, in addition to providing them the functionality to develop their own multi-day lessons.
