Mission: The purpose of the nativity school foundation is to preserve one of biloxi's vital educational institutions and city treasures nativity bvm elementary school, which has continuously produced community leaders for generations. Nativity bvm accepts students of all faiths and provides superior educational opportunities in a christian framework. Its success in student development is underscored by superior performance on statewide standardized tests.
Programs: Continue to develop board activities to solicit donations and grants to achieve the primary goal of getting the foundations net assets to $1,050,000 so that supporting payments may be made to nativity elementary school. Significant progress was made in 2017. On dec 31 2017 the foundation was only $6,000 from reaching the goal. In 2018 the foundation will be making the first distribution to nativity bvm elementary school.
