Mission: Native American Nutri Aid, Inc. is a foundation dedicated to improving nutritional health and resources among the Native American populations of the Pine Ridge and Rosebud Reservations (South Dakota).
The immediate goals of N.A.N.A. are to address nutritional deficiencies and dietary choices which give rise to the staggering frequency of diabetes among Native Americans, which is eight times higher than in the general population. Nutrition education and enrichment (food banks), clinical outreach to at-risk families, and mitigation of the symptoms are central goals of our foundation.
The resulting gangrene, kidney failure, retinal neuropathy, and early death cannot be ignored any longer! Their culture and people are at risk, and we will all be diminished by the loss. Please join our mission of love!
