Causes: Community Improvement & Capacity Building
Mission: Native american community development corporation's mission is to support community and economic development in native communities through the provision of financial education services, small business assistance and assistance to native farmers and ranchers. Emphasis is on building individual and community-wide capacity that results in enhanced economic opportunity.
Programs: Small business and organizational capacity building. In 2014 continued operations of small business assistance center on blackfeet reservation and expanded into other reservation communities. Continued to implement loan fund to work in conjunction with incubator. Loan fund is now a separate cost center (see schedule o). Nacdc continues to provide small business support services and maintains a 60+ member client list, and has expanded that support to other tribal communities.

financial/land tenure education. Nacdc continued operation of its financial literacy and youth-oriented mini-bank programs. Program involves school-based training in coordination with establishment of individual savings accounts at a bank. Nacdc is also providing credit counseling services to adults and through its lending partner, nacdc financial services, inc. Which is providing "credit builder" loans in a highly supervised manner. The goal is to enhance community members' ability to participate and succeed in the larger economy.
