Mission: Charitable educational and empowering animal advocacy work at tribal nations to improve the health and safety of community members and their animals.
Programs: Hundreds of tribal nations face a critical gap in the availability of animal care services in their communities. The native america humane society has determined that the best way to serve as many tribal communities and their pets as possible is to empower tribes with the tools they need to care for animals in their communities. In 2017, nahs improved the health and safety of tribal nations through animal health care services (vaccinations and wellness care), reduced unwanted animal populations through spay/neuter and other population management strategies, shared information on responsible pet care and the link between human violence and animal abuse.
