Programs: Historic preservation: dcdar supports the national society daughters of the american revolution (nsdar)museum, library and historic buildings, as well as projects in the district of columbia including boundary stones.
education: dcdar supports designated nsdar school and education funds, and engages in activities that support education and literacy in the district of columbia. This year dcdar supplied books,awards,and refreshments for mckinley technical high school's book club. Dcdar also donated to the salvation army auxilliary's turning point project which assists women to leave abusive homes and prepare to re-enter the workforce. Dcdar awarded prizes and scholarships to essay contest winners.
patriotism: dcdar promotes citizenship and provides support for local veterans, wounded warriors, and us servicemen and women here and overseas. This year, dcdar supported monthly naturalization ceremonies and a reception for new citizens at us district court in dc, supported us marines and their families stationed in dc, supported the patient centered care fund at the dc va medical center. Dcdar supported project h20 and also participated in ladies night at the va.
